There is no graduate program in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Four-hundred-level courses may be taken for graduate credit unless otherwise indicated in the course description.
Certificate in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies
The purpose of the graduate certificate in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies is to meet the demand for formal recognition of graduate level credentials in WGSS, and to enhance and broaden the perspectives of graduate students from various related fields. The program requires 18 credit hours of coursework. 12 credit hours must be at the 500-level, which includes WGSS 596 and WGSS 597. Six credit hours must be taken outside the student's major discipline. The student must be currently enrolled in a graduate degree program at SIU or an individual holding a bachelor's degree and admitted to the Graduate School (non-declared).
